Wow...What a Weekend!

Vancouver Island Fishing Resorts - June 10, 2002

With the weather holding over the weekend, Vancouver Island has seen some phenomenal fishing. Painter's Lodge recorded two more tyees in the past few days with virtually every boat coming back with fish. Hot spots include the Lighthouse and Shelter Point fishing anywhere from 170 to 250 ft. Beautiful weather and calm waters has lead to some extremely happy guests. The title of 'Salmon Capital of the world' is certainly holding true.

In Ucluelet, the fishing is heating up with Canadian Princess guests still smiling from their recent trips and the staff still working to clean the outstanding number of fish caught. Boats are limiting out on both salmon and halibut in Barkley Sound, and with great weather forecasted for the upcoming week, expect to see the hot fishing continue.
