Whales in the channel
Painter's Lodge and April Point Resort & Spa - July 9, 2006
The Ocean Rapids Tour saw a mini pod of 6 Killer Whales in the Nodales Channel. The Whales had been hanging around up north but have now ventured a little more south.
We are still bringing in lots of fish. Andrew Tetzel brought in a 27 lbs. Chinnook, and Jennifer Jones was close behind with a 20 pounder. Hoochies are still the gear of choice and the Cape Moudge Lighthouse seems to still be the hot spot.
The weather has been fairly nice, however we had a little rain but that doesn't seem to stop anyone from enjoying all of the wonderful advertures April Point has to offer.
