Well…each day is getting hotter and hotter. Lots of Chinook are being caught, released and the ocasional one lost. Yesterday we saw our second Tyee over 40 lbs. for the year and it’s not even August yet!
Pink salmon are definitely here, too, and we're catching them at 160–200 feet. We're seeing signs of blue backs and jacks hanging around in the shallows, providing some great light tackle fishing opportunities.
On top of all that, there is a pod of Orcas (Killer whales) that have been hanging out at Chatham Point so our whale watching tours have been getting a great show.
