Things heating up on Vancouver Island!

Vancouver Island Fishing Resorts - May 23, 2003

It's not called the 'Salmon Capital of the World' for nothing. They're catching fish at Painter's Lodge, with some guests limiting out on Chinook! Fish are averaging anywhere from 15 to 22 lbs Now that April Point Resort is open for the season, guests are spending more time on the water travelling on the free water shuttle between the resorts. This weekend, the resort transforms itself to an artists' retreat with British Columbia artists gathering to showcase their art, lead discussions and answer questions at Painters at Painter's: Celebration of the Arts.

Congratulations to Gregg Delacort and Barb Condon of British Columbia who stayed at Painter's Lodge over the Victoria Day long weekend and managed to reel in beautiful 27 lb and 16 lb Chinook.
