Salmon fishing and wildlife galore!

The sun continues to shine upon us these days and the waters around Discovery Passage are calm. More Chinook are making their way to the cleaning table - a nice range of sizes from 9-16 pounds. A couple of lucky gals were delighted on a recent trip to the Lighthouse to bring home 3 of the silvery beauties - weighing in at 8, 19 and 21 lbs! We've also been delighted with Orca sightings - right here in the passage in front of the Lodge! A pod of transients was heading south and most recently a mother and calf were also seen. The zodiac tours continue to 'wow' guests with our spectacular beautiful BC scenery and eagles, seals, sea lions, and much more.
