Fishing was excellent yesterday, with a nice flood tide making for some great opportunities on the early-morning tide.
Pinks are still coming in thick out of Plumper Bay — -just drop your pink and purple hoochie between 90 and 110 feet and your set!
Chums are starting to come in more consistently. Two dozen crossed the docks on the 20th, with the largest being a nice 21 pounder caught by Bill Davidson in Plumper Bay.
Kevin Miller caught a 22 lb. Chinook, also at Plumper, and Greg Murrell had some luck at Green Sea Bay with a 17 lb. Spring.
Our whale watching tour was a great success yesterday. Aaron, one of our naturalist-guides, took guests way up north and rewarded them with a pod of almost 60 Orcas, plus a Humpback whale just north of Hanson Island! Very nice.
