Late season runs of Chinook still continue to increase in the Discovery Passage area, both in terms of volume and of weight. Thursday saw an incredible 37 lb Chinook salmon come across the Painter's Lodge docks, while Friday wasn't too shabby with a 33.5 lb Chinook as the 'catch of the day'. Yesterday saw an almost even mix of Kings and Coho, with the Kings consistently hovering around the 20 lb mark. Add in some decent weather, including beautiful sunshine all day yesterday and today, and you've got the makings of a great fishing vacation.
