Painter's Lodge and April Point Resort & Spa - October 10, 2001

October fishing has been consistent at Painter's Lodge and April Point Resort with Chum showing up in strong numbers. Good weather, calm water and an ample food supply have lead to great results on the water. Chum are averaging 12 pounds earlier in the week with the largest fish weighing in the high teens. Fin-clipped Coho are averaging about 10 pounds and are being caught at hot spots like Deepwater, Plumpers and Greensea. Anglers are still bringing in Pinks and Chinook at a steady rate and using flasher/hoochie combos, and pink hoochies as lures and anchovies and herring as bait. Lines are going deeper this time of year as anglers are fishing at about 60 meters.
