Hungry seals enjoy increase in salmon returns

The Marine Centre reports that fishing has picked up and is becoming more consistent as June progresses. Anglers are landing Chinook almost exclusively, most in the high teens to high twenties. The preferred fishing area continues to be the Cape Mudge Lighthouse region. According to Jeff at Painter's, the only complaint is the local wildlife: "... we must have been sealed eight or ten times!"
