Angler's limiting out at Painter's Lodge and April

Fishing can only be described at hot in Campbell River and Quadra Island of late with angler's regularly limiting out on feisty Pink salmon. The tyee pools have also been active with several large Chinook caught recently. Recent whale watching trips have been greeted by pods of up to 50 whales. They've also seen a handful of black bears on the shores and beaches and dolphins swimming with the zodiacs. With warm weather and plenty of sunshine, it's been a great August in the Discovery Passage.
