22 pounder starts the weekend

Painter's Lodge and April Point Resort & Spa - May 26, 2006

It’s been an exciting few days up here at Painter’s Lodge and April Point Resort & Spa. The beautiful weather has returned and the fishing is getting better by the day. Our guides have continued to fish the Lighthouse and are seeing some nice results and the purple haze still seems to be the gear to use!

Yesterday, Barry Widas caught a spectacular 22 lb Chinook salmon. It put up a great fight before it was tired enough to hauled on board. Way to go Barry! Congratulations also to Tim Larson with a 9 lb Chinook and Paul Clinton who landed a 10 lb Chinook.

The clouds parted yesterday just in time for our Discovery Tour that went out and everyone had a wonderful day. The sea-lions were out in full force, and the stop at the shell-fish farm was fabulous.

Join us for some fun on the water; we hope to see you soon!
