It’s the time of year where the tradition of Tyee fishing really gears up. The night has been seeing several fish landed and lots of undersize (under 30 lbs!) being caught. You can tell the fish are moving into the area because we've been spoting them moving around under our floats. It’s going to be a flurry of a rowing season. With all the fresh rain we're seeing the rivers are high and the fish are taking advantage and moving in.
In addition to the Tyees we're still seeing strong Pink bites at Separation Head, Deep Water Bay, and Browns Bay. And, of couse, there are plenty of Chinook and Coho mixed into the schools of Pinks.
Our guides are reporting spoons and bait are working the best for Chinook and Coho and of course the classic Pink gear for Pinks.
Hope to see you in the tyee pool!
