A Whale of a Good Time

Painter's Lodge and April Point Resort & Spa - September 1, 2008

It’s been a beautiful weekend up here at Painter’s Lodge. The sun is shining, the rain has stopped and the wind has died right down.

The wildlife tours have been seeing whales numerous times. They saw them on every trip yesterday! They saw a HUGE cinnamon bear on the beach, tons of eagles and numerous deer. Everyone had a whale of good time and got some great wildlife photos.

The fishing has been good. Lots of big Chinook, quite a few of Coho, hatchery ones of course, and a little touch of pink here and there.

The fishing times have been pushed ahead one hour, as we are slowly losing light. Which I personally LOVE, since me and the fisherman and fisherwomen only have to get up at 5am instead of 4am. That extra hour sure makes a difference.

There have been some great rapids tours. The tides are ripping and waves are rolling.

That’s all for today. Thanks for checkin’ in. Hope you have a wonderful day.
