Mooching in Campbell River

Painter's Lodge - July 15, 2002

Peter Scully nabbed a nice 32 lb. tyee while on a morning ebb tide. While mooching in front of the Lighthouse, they felt a slamming vibration rocking the boat and, just before being spooled, the guide got the boat headed in the right direction and after a 35-minute fight, this Tyee finally surrendered. Congratulations Peter!

Fishing continues to be first-rate in the Discovery Passage with fish averaging 15-20 lbs. With excellent weather over the past few days and cruise ships greeting the guests at dinner as they sail through the passage, it's the perfect summer getaway.
