It’s the start of another season at Painter’s Lodge, and that means we make the transition from the slow pace of winter to the long, busy days of summer! Our staff has been working tirelessly to get everything in top shape for guests to arrive, and I have the pleasure of returning to Painter’s Lodge for my second season as Marketing Coordinator!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Elisha and I am ‘the girl with the camera.’ As a television broadcasting graduate of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, I got my start in marketing at a production company in Victoria, BC. In 2014, I moved back to Campbell River –my beautiful home town- and in the start of Summer 2015, I had the opportunity to apply here at Painter’s Lodge. It’s a place I had worked at before, only this time my job was altogether different than that of serving in the Tyee Pub. This time, I get to work with guests, take photos, and create promotional videos. I get to experience the Lodge as a visitor might, and then share that experience with you, in the hopes that you’ll get the chance to come see it for yourself.

I can be often seen making laps of the lodge, snapping photos where the action is. Whether you’re staying with us at Painter’s Lodge, or at our sister resort April Point, there is always plenty to see and do. Wildlife tours, live music and fantastic food are the start… exciting fishing tours with experienced guides and a freezer full of Chinook Salmon will be the reason you return year after year.

There’s a lot of reasons why I love my job… the ocean view, the opportunity to feed eagles on a Monday morning, and the incredible staff and surroundings  absolutely play a role. But meeting people from all over the world and showing them the charm of our resorts is what I really enjoy. Whether you’re a returning guest or someone who’s never been to Vancouver Island, book your stay and be sure to come say hi! I look forward to seeing you on the dock with your catch of the day.

All the best,
