Marine Tour
Travel into the heart of beautiful Discovery Passage—rich with history, aquaculture and vibrant wildlife—aboard the 52’ Pachena Princess.
This 3 ½ hour tour is led by an experienced naturalist who shares stories and legends of the people, places and events that have shaped the culture and character of the Discovery Passage.
The tour offers an excellent opportunity for wildlife viewing; you can see everything from eagles to seals and sea lions, porpoises, killer whales and bears as well as hundreds of marine birds.
Travel by Cape Mudge and learn about the local native traditions, and past Rebecca Spit Provincial Park. Further north, you’ll see Breton Islands and see how oyster and mussels are harvested.
It’s then off to Cortes Island, home to the Klahoos First Nations and Mittlenatch Island, an island in the rain shadow of Vancouver Island and a birders paradise before returning home to Gowlland Harbour.
